What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic is a branch of health care that focuses on the body's ability to heal itself. The practice of chiropractic can be used to address pain relief, chronic conditions, and also as a preventative to help avoid illness and injury in the future.
Chiropractors are trained to evaluate the spinal column and all joints of the body which could be the cause of certain symptoms the patient is having. The spinal column itself houses the spinal cord which proves to be extremely essential to maintaining our body's optimal health. Outside stressors, (whether physical, emotional or chemical), can cause the joints to become misaligned. This misalignment can cause inflammation in the surrounding tissues which could include muscle, nerve, connective tissue etc. This inflammation can also cause pain and thus decreases the body's ability to function optimally.
